– About me
There are times in your life when you really pinch yourself. Being selected to help steer Sky News Australia’s coverage of King Charles III’s Coronation in London was one of those moments for Danica.
Covering an event of that magnitude (one not seen for 70 years!) is something Danica doesn’t take for granted.
Danica has reported on some of Australia’s biggest news stories including the 2022 Northern Rivers Flood Disaster, NSW’s Black Summer Bushfires, the arrest of the Claremont Serial Killer, WA’s worst mass shooting: the Margaret River Massacre and the disappearance of William Tyrrell.
Some of her fun career highlights include travelling to Comic-Con International in San Diego, to cover the largest pop culture festival in the world! Danica sat down with the cast of the Binge/Foxtel series ‘House of the Dragon’ in Los Angeles, the prequel to worldwide hit ‘Game of Thrones’. Danica has interviewed stars including Austin Butler and Baz Luhrmann.
– PRESENTER
Danica began presenting national news bulletins at the age of 24, making her one of the youngest presenters in the country at the time.
She’s now a regular fixture behind the news desk, even jumping into the hot seat on many occasions on the highly coveted Sky News breakfast show ‘First Edition’. You’ll see her sometimes fill in on prime-time program ‘The Royal Report’, covering the latest news from Buckingham Palace.
Danica has anchored live, rolling coverage of the 2020 US election, Capitol Hill Riots, ICAC inquiries, Victoria’s Coronavirus crisis and the Thai cave rescue. She enjoys the challenge and unpredictability that comes with hours of unscripted, breaking news.
